TERMS & CONDITIONS
Style Guides Travel, LLC
2026 Travel Trips
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking. When you submit a booking and pay your deposit, a legally binding contract is formed between you and Style Guides Travel, LLC. Britt Benjamin and Lisa Buckley of Style Guides Travel, LLC act as your on-site hosts and content leaders.
1. Eligibility, Minimum Age & Group Size
Participation is limited to travelers aged 18 years or older at the time of departure. The maximum group size is 8 travelers, accompanied by two hosts/assistants. By booking, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
2. Booking & Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is required to secure your place on the tour. Your booking is confirmed only once the deposit has been received and written confirmation has been issued by Style Guides Travel, LLC (hereafter referred to as "SGT").
3. Payment Schedule & Rates
Final Balance: The remaining balance is due no later than 90 days prior to departure. Bookings made within 90 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking.
Failure to Pay: Failure to pay the final balance by the due date will be treated as a cancellation by the traveler, and standard cancellation charges will apply.
Rates: Rates are quoted in USD, per person, and are based on current exchange rates. Upon receipt of your deposit, your rate is fully guaranteed against future currency fluctuations. SGT reserves the right to adjust prices and/or the itinerary prior to deposit due to availability or unforeseeable events.
Payment Methods: Payments can be made via credit card or secure bank transfer.
4. Travel Insurance (Recommended)
To obtain comprehensive personal travel insurance. Your policy must include coverage for:
Trip cancellation and interruption
Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
Personal liability
Loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings and luggage
SGT strongly recommends purchasing your travel insurance policy immediately upon paying your initial deposit. https://travel.state.gov/en/international-travel/planning/guidance/insurance.html
5. Cancellations & Refunds by the Traveler
All cancellations must be submitted to SGT in writing.
The $1,000 deposit is strictly non-refundable.
Once the final balance payment is made (90 days prior to departure), all payments become entirely non-refundable.
Mitigation Clause: In the event of a cancellation after final payment, SGT will make every reasonable, good-faith effort to recover costs from suppliers or resell your cancelled spot. If successful, a partial refund may be issued on a case-by-case basis, minus any unrecoverable costs and administrative expenses.
No refunds will be issued for unused tour services, late arrivals, or early departures.
6. Cancellation or Changes by Style Guides Travel
SGT reserves the right to cancel the tour if:
Minimum participant numbers (8 guests) are not met.
Force majeure or circumstances beyond reasonable control make operating the tour unsafe or impracticable.
In the event that SGT cancels the tour, travelers will receive a 100% full refund of all monies paid to SGT. SGT is not responsible for any additional external costs incurred by the traveler, including but not limited to airline tickets, insurance premiums, visa fees, or independent travel arrangements. SGT reserves the right to make minor itinerary adjustments due to local conditions, museum scheduling, or supplier changes.
7. Third-Party Suppliers
SGT contracts with third-party providers including hotels, transportation companies, local guides, restaurants, and museums. All services are provided subject to the terms and conditions of these individual suppliers. SGT is not liable for the acts, omissions, defaults, closures, or schedule changes imposed by third-party providers or local cultural authorities. SGT will use reasonable efforts to provide comparable, high-quality alternatives where necessary.
8. Health, Fitness & Mobility
Our robust, style-focused itinerary requires an "on-the-go" travel pace. We will be relying regularly on the Paris Metro and private walking tours to navigate the city.
Physical Requirements: You can expect to walk several miles a day, traverse uneven cobblestone surfaces, and encounter a significant number of stairs with limited to no elevator access.
Daily Pace: Group departures begin in the morning, returning in the late afternoon or early evening. This tour is not a good fit for travelers with limited mobility or those requiring frequent, long rest periods.
Disclosure: Travelers are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit to participate. Any mobility concerns or medical conditions must be disclosed at the time of booking. SGT reserves the right to decline participation if a traveler's condition presents a safety risk to themselves or significantly impedes the group experience.
9. Room Assignments: Single vs. Shared Occupancy
Private Room (Single Occupancy): Single occupancy rooms are available.
Shared Room (Double Occupancy): If you request a shared room option and do not have a travel companion joining you who is also signed up for the trip, SGT will pair you with another traveler who has also requested a roommate. SGT cannot guarantee specific personality or behavioral attributes of your assigned roommate, and choosing to utilize the roommate pairing option is done entirely at the traveler’s own discretion.
10. On-Tour Conduct & Punctuality
Travelers are expected to behave respectfully toward hosts, fellow participants, local guides, and hospitality staff. Due to the strict, timed-ticket nature of high-fashion exhibitions, private workshops, and museum entries, guests are expected to arrive at all meeting points at the exact designated times. SGT is completely unable to accommodate late-comers, and missed group connections will be at the traveler's own expense.
SGT reserves the right to remove any traveler from the tour whose behavior endangers others, causes severe group disruption, or violates local laws. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances.
11. Limitation of Liability
SGT provides curated hosting services with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SGT is not liable for indirect or consequential losses; loss, theft, or damage to personal property; or injuries arising from independent activities undertaken by guests outside the scheduled group program.
12. Force Majeure
SGT shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, acts of God, war, civil unrest, strikes, government or pandemic-related travel restrictions, or sudden closures of cultural institutions. Refunds in these circumstances will be strictly subject to what is successfully recovered from our third-party suppliers.
13. Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements
Travelers are solely responsible for securing and carrying a valid passport, necessary visas, and any required entry documentation. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your scheduled return date. SGT accepts no responsibility or liability if a traveler is denied entry into France due to documentation issues.
SGT Recommendation: We strongly urge you to take a photocopy of your passport and pack it separately from your original, or leave a digital copy with an emergency contact at home.
14. On-Tour Communication
If you experience any issues, discomfort, or logistical problems during the trip, you must promptly notify your on-site SGT hosts while the tour is in progress so the concern can be resolved immediately. For safety and coordination, SGT will utilize a group text to communicate updates while in Paris. By booking, you agree to share your mobile number with your hosts and fellow tour participants for this purpose.
15. Photography & Media Release
SGT and its hosts may photograph, film, or record video during the tour for future promotional and marketing purposes (including website and social media use). If you do not wish to appear in any promotional materials, you must notify SGT in writing prior to the trip's departure date.
16. Arrival Suggestions & Pre/Post-Tour Lodging
Airport Transfers: We recommend flying into Charles de Gaulle (CDG) or Orly (ORY). Official flat-rate Parisian taxis or pre-booked private car services are the recommended methods for reaching the hotel.
Pre-Tour Stays: Many travelers prefer to arrive in Paris one day prior to the official tour start date to adjust to the jet lag. If you require extra nights at our boutique hotel partner before or after the official tour dates, please contact info@styleguidestravel.com or brittbenjamin@styleguidestravel.com for booking assistance. Extra nights are subject to seasonal hotel availability and are not guaranteed.
Hotel Check-In: Standard hotel check-in is typically at 3:00 PM. While the hotel will make every effort to accommodate early arrivals, it cannot be guaranteed. You are able to leave your luggage if you are there before check-in.
17. Dietary Requirements & Itinerary Changes
Allergies: Travelers must alert SGT managers in writing of any serious, life-threatening food allergies well in advance of departure. While we partner with high-end establishments and will do our absolute best to accommodate dietary restrictions, we cannot guarantee that every culinary selection can accommodate all preferences.
Itinerary Flexibility: The curated itinerary is subject to minor modifications. All scheduled visits are subject to venue availability, and reasonable, high-quality substitutions will be seamlessly integrated in the event of unavoidable closures by cultural institutions.
